Please book with Stan Walters urgently for this course of which it is essential that all skiboaters who have a VHF radio do this course.

It is on a first come first serve basis.

I have over 50 yachtsman who also want to do the course.

Good day Lyn

The VHF course to be held on the 25th & 26th April has only drawn 4 candidates from Northern Gauteng plus another 4.  If you have any members who wish to attend the course to be held in Mid Rand please let us know a.s.a.p.

Attached are the documents to be studied and completed.  We will also need a copy of their I.D. as well as 2 coloured I.D. photographs.  The cost per candidate is R1000-00.  Please let the candidates bring a pen with them.

We would like the candidate to be at the venue in Mid Rand at 5 pm on the Friday and 8 am on the Saturday so that we can run through a power point presentation before they write.

The course will be held at the Boat Yard 161 Lever Road.

2014 PROTEA Nominations

SADSAA are calling for PROTEA nominations for the Hawaii Billfish and the Puerto Rico Billfish Tournaments.

Anglers interested in nominating are to have their nominations in with me by no later than 1ST APRIL 2014

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

Nominations are hereby called for a three or four person team to represent South Africa (Protea colours) at the 55TH HAWAIIAN BILLFISH TOURNAMENT to be held at Kona Hawaii between 26th July and 2nd August 2014.

This is heavy tackle marlin competition and is fished on 24 & 37Kg line.

We have yet to be informed of the Entry fee but it is likely to be around US$2500 per person, which excluded accommodation and airfares.

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

Nominations are hereby called for a three person team to represent South Africa (Protea colours) at the 60TH (DIAMOND JUBILEE) BILLFISH INTERNATIONAL, PUERTO RICO to be held between 15th and 21st September 2014.

This is a medium marlin tournament and is fished on 15 and 24Kg line.

The organisers are particularly keen for us to send a team this year as it is their diamond Jubilee and we have been unable to send a team in the recent past.

The Entry fee is US$1850 per person, but they have offered us a special that we only have to pay for two anglers for a team of three as long as the monies are paid before 31st July 2014. Whilst we realise this is still a lot of money in Rand it is probably as cheap as you are ever going to get for a tournament in the Caribbean. The Entry fee will exclude accommodation and airfares.
