Nominations are hereby called for three or four person team to represent South Africa (Protea colours) at the HAWAIAN INTERNATIONAL BILLFISH TOURNAMENT (HIBT) to be held at KONA HAWAII between the 9th and 15th August 2015.

This is a medium to heavy tackle billfish tournament. We have yet to receive the official invitation but estimate the entry fee to be +- USD 3500 per person which excludes accommodation and airfares.

Nominations are hereby called for a three person team to represent South Africa (Protea colours) at the 75th INTERNATIONAL LIGHT TACKLE TOURNAMENT ASSOCIATION CHAMPIONSHIP to be held at PIRATES COVE MATEO NORTH CAROLINA USA  between 13th and 19th September 2015.

This is a light tackle billfish tournament( 10kg line ). The entry fee is USD 3950 per angler which excludes accommodation and airfares.

Nominations are hereby called for a three person team to represent South Africa (Protea colours) at the 62nd INTERNATIONAL BILLFISH TOURNAMENT to be held at CLUB NAUTICO de SAN JUAN PUERTO RICO between the 24th and 30th September 2015.

This is a medium to heavy tackle billfish tournament. We have yet to receive the official invitation but estimate the entry fee to be +- USD 3500 per person which excludes accommodation and airfares.

Nominations are hereby called for a three person team to represent SADSAA at the 2015 TUNA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP to be hosted by WESTERN PROVINCE DSAA and held at the ATLANTIC BOAT CLUB HOUT BAY CAPE TOWN between the 11th and 16th May2015.

This is a 10kg line tournament. The entry fee is R9 500 per team which excludes boat fuel and accommodation.

Nominations are hereby called for a three person team to represent SADSAA at the 2015 GAME FISH NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP to be hosted by ZULULAND DSAA and held at RICHARDS BAY SKI BOAT CLUB between the 31st May and 5th June 2015.

This is a 10kg line tournament. The entry fee is R4950 per team and this is an own boat tournament and the entry fee excludes accommodation.

Nominations are hereby called for a three person team to represent SADSAA at the 2015 BOTTOMFISH NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP to be hosted by BORDER DSAA and held at EAST LONDON SKI BOAT CLUB between 13th and 18th July 2015.

This is a 10kg line tournament. The entry fee is R7 485 per team which excludes boat fuel and accommodation but includes most meals.

ALL THREE OF THE ABOVE CALL FOR SADSAA TEAMS ARE ALSO FOR A UNDER 19 AND MASTERS TEAM,

Nominations are hereby called for a three person under 19 years old team to represent SADSAA at the 2015 JUNIOR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP to be hosted by NATAL DSAA and held at SHELLY BEACH SKI BOAT CLUB between 20th and 24th July 2015.

This is a 10kg line tournament. The entry fee is R7 300 per team which excludes boat fuel and accommodation but includes all meals.

Following is an invite to nominate for the Provincial Teams, for the GAMEFISH NATIONALS 2015 which is taking place in Richards Bay Zululand from the 31st of May till the 5th of June.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL MEMBERS:

Club and Provincial Nominations were called for on 11 Dec, for the RICHARDS BAY BILLFISH INTERCLUB AND INTERPROVINCIAL, 6 – 9 March 2015.

The cut-off date for nominations to be in, has been extended. The Nomads committee will be meeting at 7pm on Tuesday the 13th of January where the provincial nominations will be reviewed by the Chairman. 2015 BILLFISH INTERCLUB/ INTER PROVINIAL – RICHARDS BAY 06 – 09 March 2015

You are hereby invited to enter teams for the above competition.

VENUE                         :           Richards Bay Ski-Boat Club

DATES                         :           06 – 09 March 2015 (Briefing Friday, 06 March 2015 @ 19:00)

LINE CLASS                 :           37kg

RULES & SCORING      :           IGFA Rules and SADSAA Point Scoring System will be used. (All billfish)

Points equivalent for Bill fish:

Blue Marlin – 200 kg
Black Marlin – 200kg
Stripe Marlin – 70kg
Sail fish – 30kg
Short bill spear fish – 20kg

Points to be awarded for all verified released catches.
Bonus points for tag and release.
All Bill fish to be released.

BAIT                             :           Lures and bait caught at sea

FORMAT                      :           Two (2) Rods per Angler

1. Clubs may enter teams of 3 anglers each. Two teams per Club or Province will be allowed.
2. Teams to provide their own digital camera for catch verifications.
3. No cellular phones are allowed at sea.
4. Teams are requested to supply their own boats and skippers but if required, boats and skippers can be arranged. A gillie per team will be allowed at extra cost to the team.
5. Fuel for each team’s account.
6. All dinners, snacks and breakfasts will be supplied by Richards Bay Ski Boat Club. Team are to provide own drinks. Drinks and Ice are sold at launch site. Boat packs can be orders at the club but would be on own account.
7. Teams to arrange their own accommodation. Richards Bay Ski-Boat Club will make camp sites available free of charge in their caravan park on the Club grounds. Teams to supply their own caravans and tents and to confirm bookings with Hanetjie Mans 035 – 753 2516.

Nominations are hereby called for a four person team to represent South Africa (Protea Colours) at the 2015 FIPS-M WORLD BIG GAME (TROLLING) CHAMPIONSHIPS to be held at LOBITO ANGOLA between the 28th March and 2nd April 2015.

This will be a full release tournament targeting both Billfish and Gamefish.

The line class is for the team to decide up to the maximum (60kg)

The entry fee is 1250 Euros per angler, which we presume is for fishing and accommodation although the present invitation is not clear on what is included.

The entry fee does not include airfares.

Nominations must be received by the convenor of selectors Mr Barry Turk by not later than Monday 17th November 2014
