2014 Guinjata Organising Committee

To all Clubs in Southern Gauteng:

Its fast approaching that time of the year again where the Southern Gauteng Clubs come together to compete in the biggest event of the year, the highly sought after ROSEBOWL

Guinjata will be the official hosts for next year and the competition will be hosted in Guinjata, Mozambique with the comps committee having already secured some amazing prizes.

There has been some concern as to the safety of competitors travelling into Mozambique following recent unrest in the Central and Northern part of the country.

We have been in close contact with the president of tourism in the Inhambane Province, and also with all our contacts between the border and Guinjata, and have received no negative feedback what so ever.

As per their reports the unrest is concentrated in the Sofala province some 350km’s north of Guinjata and more specifically Beira, some 600km’s north.

There will also be numerous zone members going to Guinjata over the December festive season where further assessment will be done to ensure a safe journey to Guinjata as well as an enjoyable competition.

Launching will be permitted from both Guinjata Bay as well as Paindane.

An entry fee of R850.00 for SGDSAA affiliated anglers will include:-

• Bumper goodie box
• Briefing and meal on the Sunday evening
• Wednesday night social and evening meal
• Prize giving dinner and lots of prizes for the winners!!

An additional R100 is payable for non – SGDSAA affiliated Anglers.
